Dispatch and ShippingAll Technology Direct built systems are assembled and tested by order. Systems should be dispatched within 3 days of cleared payments. If your order experiences unforeseen circumstances causing delays you will be contacted. Other parts like keyboards, monitors or uncustomized systems (laptops/computers/servers) from other system builders (HP/Lenovo/Acer etc) may be shipped earlier.

DAMAGED IN TRANSIT RETURNS POLICY

Upon delivery of your order please check the entire package thoroughly for any damage. (squashed, stabbed, water damage or tampering with packaging tape seal) If you notice any damage please SIGN AS “DAMAGED” AND NOT YOUR SIGNATURE. If the product inside does appear to be damaged and does not function as it should. Contact Technology Direct for Return Authorisation and we will inspect the item and pursue the insurance claim from the courier service.

 

If the item is tested and inspected by Technology Direct technicians and found to have no problem. The customer will be invoiced technician testing time and return shipping then the item will be sent back to the customer.


DOA RETURNS POLICY (20 Days from invoice)

If you receive any product that is dead on arrival, please contact Technology Direct by email/telephone and return the product with suitable packaging (preferably with its original packaging) to prevent damage in delivering the product back to us.

Upon receipt of the returned product with your full details provided, we will supply you with a Return Authority (RA) Number by email. We will test the item or in some circumstances, we may need to refer the product to the manufacturer for testing.

 

If the item is tested and inspected by Technology Direct or authorized repair technicians and found to have no problem. The customer will be invoiced technician testing time and return shipping then the item will be sent back to the customer.

 

If the item in question is found to be faulty Technology Direct will arrange replacement, exchange or store credit.


WARRANTY (Outside of damaged in transit and DOA)

All products come with a 1-5 year warranty unless otherwise stated.

External products like computer monitors, printers are normally dealt with between the manufacturer and customer for faster easier replacement or repair.

Computers and laptops made by major manufacturers (Dell, Lenovo, HP, Acer etc.) are normally dealt with between the manufacturer and customer for faster easier replacement or repair

Computers and parts not mentioned above shall be processed by Technology Direct.

-STANDARD CUSTOMER GROUP

If a part tested by Technology Direct technicians is found to be faulty. The part will be sent back to and tested by the manufacturer and wait (2-6 weeks) for repair, replacement or store credit.

If the item is tested and inspected by Technology Direct technicians and found to have no problem. The customer will be invoiced technician testing time and return shipping then the item will be sent back to the customer.

-PREMIUM CUSTOMER GROUP

If a part tested by Technology Direct technicians is found to be faulty. Technology Direct will offer an instant replacement* or store credit that can be used to purchase a comparable replacement product.

If the item is tested and inspected by Technology Direct technicians and found to have no problem. The customer will be invoiced technician testing time and return shipping then the item will be sent back to the customer.

 

All warranties are voided if returned product is found in any way to be mishandled, installed, modified, tampered, abused, physically damaged or used under wrong voltage etc.
Technology Direct is not responsible for data contents or the security of the data contents contained in any returned goods. Our workshop works under strict guidelines, not to intercept with any customer data. Despite this, customers should back up any data prior to sending the goods back to us, data can be destroyed during our testing. It is also beyond the scope of our control once the device is sent to our supplier.

Technology Direct can forward hard drives and solid state drives to recommended data recovery services but in most cases, this procedure will void the warranty on the device.

Gift Voucher Competitions.

To be eligible to win the gift voucher you must be an Australian resident, Like, Share and have a customer account with Technology Direct with the same name as your Facebook profile. If you are the winner, the voucher will be assigned only to your customer account and the unique voucher ID will be emailed to the registered email address.
